Echo Cardiographer – Travel Contract | British Columbia

Location: Various locations across British Columbia

Schedule: Full-time | Day/Evening shifts may vary by site

Position Overview

Greenstaff Medical Canada is seeking experienced Echocardiographers / Echo Technologists for travel contract opportunities across British Columbia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations, obtaining diagnostic images and measurements, and working closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) examinations.
• Acquire high-quality 2D, M-mode and Doppler images.
• Perform colour Doppler and spectral Doppler studies.
• Assess cardiac chambers, valves, ventricular function and blood flow.
• Obtain accurate measurements and document findings according to facility protocols.
• Review patient history and clinical indications prior to examinations.
• Ensure proper patient identification, positioning, preparation and communication.
• Recognize technically difficult studies and obtain additional views as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety and radiation/ultrasound safety protocols.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain equipment and report technical issues when required.

Requirements

• Canadian experience as an Echocardiographer / Echo Technologist preferred.
• Relevant Canadian education, certification or registration as required by the facility.
• Strong hands-on experience with TTE, 2D and Doppler echocardiography.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to work independently in a hospital/healthcare environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to adapt to different clinical environments and facility protocols.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
